think of it this way. make a stencil of the deck, trace it onto a piece of 1" aluminum, and weld that ****** on there.

IMHO 1" was way too much. you would have gotten the job done at 1/2" and saved yourself some R/S ratio. GL with the thing man.

I'm just thinking of the inside of the cylinder. There must be a groove there, right? I can't see that being good with a piston sliding up and down at 8000rpm. I suppose they might have some special thing they do to make it flawlessly smooth? Even then, I'm sure that would be a super weak spot in the cylinder wall with all kidns of hot spots.

Oops, I forgot he said he was having it sleeved. That makes more sense, but it still seems hokey.

Stock replacements sleeves you can buy in long ductile pipes...the shop cuts it into your desired lenght :P

he sleeved it with replacements ductile sleeves...not Benson sleeves or any of that performance sleeve.
Why does everyone think when someone sleeve there block that it is a performance sleeve job?
