CG wins over 88-2000 design, it has support between 4th and 5th gear to PREVENT the shafts from trying to walk out the passenger side case.
People are shredding gears in the 88-2000 trannys, but Bisi is running OEM 1-5 with a Houseman (who built the black box) Custom final drive, likely 5.0:1
Also the advantage of the CG tranny that the axle centerline is about an inch lower, less to grind off the block.

Houseman somehow fitted a B16 Quafie in them, I have one here in Cincy that I'll be picking up soon.
Dunno if it required a custom ring gear, but the guy only paid $200 for the CG tranny with LSD.
