Dude, either your impact sucks or your compressor sucks. Either way, there is no reason why those bolts shouldn't come off. I hate to say it, but you're gonna have to jam the flywheel and muscle them off. Stick something in the teeth of the flywheel to keep it from moving.

get a breaker bar. lower the car onto the breaker bar. it will snap loose, if it doesnt itll either bend your breaker bar all to ----, or snap the head off the nut.
just warning you. i dont want you coming back and bitching me out for giving advice.
good luck!

ok...use a chain and put one end on the 10mm bolt from 1 of the bolts from the flywheel. then the next loop of the chain on the 17mm from the tranny. now...that should hold the flywheel still. use a 1/2 drive ratchet on the bolts. the breaker bars usually break. but if you got a craftsman..you can exchange it for free. now...use a really long pipe or something to extend the ratchet. leverage is your best friend in breaking seaged bolts. and you can use some lub on it too. this way always works for me. the impact gun is strong but you can't use it on everything. hand w/ a long pipe is always the best. good luck.

Wow, never had a problem with breaking hte bolts loos on any of the clutch installs i have done. Funny thing is i did them all with hand tools The get the crank pully off you can stick a screw driver in on of the pressure plate screw holes and jam it agenst the oil pan and then take the crank pully off. of go and buy the nice $70 tool that you are suposto use to get it off.

they should come off with the impact gun. when i did asm's clutch i htink my tank was at like 80psi but i had a good bit not them cheap pep boy ones that crack.
u gotta leave it on there a second OR
what u can do is this
imma show u a trick thats really ghetto but im sure every mechanic has done it a couple times.
take a tad of wd 40 spray it on the bolts. heat the ******* with a blow torch till they turn a tad red. when they do hurry up and hit it with the impact gun.
i bet that bitch comes out.

RIPP IT TILL IT ROARS!! my entire car was all like nothing wanted to come out... but about 30 sec with a impact gun helps it out... hehe we only ended up breaking two bolts.. and it was from the tranny mount.. and we managed to rigg something and it stays so we leave it alone.. dont look at it dont touch it
