Re: problems with my vss
obd-1 or obd-0 ?
there are no hoses associated with the vss. the clutch switch is what allows the car to start only when the clutch is in, it is located on the pedal mounting assembly (behind the clutch pedal obviously). |
Re: problems with my vss
it is obd-0. there is 2 nipples coming off of the vss,i also have another obd-0 swap that the vss has a electrical connector instead of the 2 prongs. i just dont know if i should keep it like that or what please help

Re: problems with my vss
The VSS isn't in the tranny on the OBD0. It works of the speedo cable.

Re: problems with my vss
in the back of the cluster ;)
|
Re: problems with my vss
i thought it was the unit that the speedo cable went into, because what i am talking about is the thing that the speedo cable goes into on the back of the tranny

Re: problems with my vss
88's didn't have a clutch switch
the thing on the tranny is for speed sensitive power steering......your VSS is on the back of the gauge cluster, driven by the speedo cable. |
Re: problems with my vss
then what would it be that is making the car start without depressing the clutch pedal?
