well the eGAY chip is prolly the culprit, also, if the rev limit is changed (via chipping the ecu), i doesn't matter which cluster you use, you will still be able to rev to whatever it is set at. and i sure as hell hope your not really revving to 9500

But i did take a WIRE and run it from my battery to my vtec solenoid while my friend held down the gas to 4000. And BAM you can hear it kick in no problem.

Just it seems the damn ecu sends now power to it.

---- it, just run a wire from the solenoid to an accessory fuse in your fuse box

well, you said it kicked in like normal when you had it hooked to the battery right? if so then it wouldn't be on all the time, it sounds like it may be getting the rpm reading when to engage, maybe just not getting power, i wonder if you can check it with a votmeter.

No i only had my friend rev it up to 4000, So i could hear it KICK in. It will come on anytime there is a 12+ source going to it. Plus vtec works in stages and with that plugged up it will be on through the whole RPM range .

No VSS signal will stop the ECU from engaging the high cam lobes for the B16A. I wish i knew a way to trick that bastard.

88-91 use a cable driven VSS and 92+ use electronic.

Hey guys i got it fixed

I use a electric vss becuz of my GSR gauge cluster

All i had to do was rewire my vss

I had one wire as ground
One wire going to ecu
and one wire going to the speedometer

Well all i had to was make one wire split going to the ecu and the gauge clusters orange wire

and then run the other to the ignition

and ground stayed where it was

bam got VTEC

what what
