Placing aftermarket oil press sensor...damn thing does't fit...other location ?
hi,
Im installing a sandwich adapter on my oil filter so i can install a oil temp and oil pressure sensor (for dash meters).
Problem is, the damn oil sensor is way to big. It really does not fit in there. Now my question, were can i install this sensor, or can i just get the signal from the cables to my ECU (engine does have a sensor of its own i guess) or is this a different signal ?
Im talking about a Euro spec D16Z5 engine.
Thanks in advance,
Roy

i thought mention that its a EDM car might help. I know some things are located pretty different than the most D16 engines over here. (not everybody knows what the D16Z5 or D16A9 exactly is)
About the sensor...its one i had lying around. Came from my brothers Porsche 924 turbo so haven't got any fittings

oke this is my sensor http://roy2187.fotopic.net/p25942256.html and the adapter. The sensor is just way to big to fit it on the stealthperformance oil feed line adapter.
but, can't i just get another oil feed line, say 1feet long, and place my sensor somewhere else ? Or will i get troubles with filling the line since the air has no place to go.
See how little space i have there: http://roy2187.fotopic.net/p25942255.html
kind regards,
Roy
