Default P29 in Z6

This may have been talked about before, but would it be shear insanity to put p29 pistons in a D16z6. The comp calculator says the compression would be 13.6 to 1!!! Is this insane? Or is it possible

no it has been done many times... just don't mill the head (valve to piston) clearances are tight and you'll be cool... btw, compression is about 11.8-12:1

My buddy had that set up like 5 years ago built by dh-racing.com. Thing was fast and ran fine on 92 w/ stock timing. I have built sohc also by dhracing but it's non vtec 1600 w/ p29 slugs. I haven't had any problems with detnoation. My compression is around 11.3 has the head is milled slightly.
