Default Overheating and no VTEC...WTF???

my car was overheating so i changed the oil pump (renr's) with another used one (the one that came with the block, beau's)

now it doesnt overheat as much but its still up there and for some damn reason my vtec doesnt work but it gets the 12v input
(vtec hasnt worked since i put the new y8 block in).

i bought this block a while ago from beau, so if u remember what could have been wrong with it, it woulb be greatly appreciated

if its overheating it will not go into vtec. so you need to solve that before you can fix VTEC.
