a little less work then taking out the tranny and much safer than putting rope in the cylinder is take off the oil pan and get a peice of wood (like the handle of a hammer) and put it between the block and rod then crank on the bolt..but if u can get air tools i would use those be4 i would do what i just said..lol

i took the crank pulley off of three engines last night what a pain in the ass even with air tools.. i didnt have a big socket for the big boy impact so i shoved a pry bar in a hole on the side of the pressure plate and jumped on the breaker bar.. :) work all 3 times.. like a champ.
