Ok.OK..almost there. One more question
Ok my friend came over and went over the whole engine and said it was fine. We started it and still turns over and doesnt catch. Now he thinks this is the problem. When i put the engine togther i think that the number 1 and 4 pistons were all the way down and the 3,2 pistons were at TDC. Since the 1 and 4 were not at TDC could this be why its not catching. And how can i figure out TDC without takin the whole thing apart. MY friend said to take out the #1 cylinder spark plug and put a hard piece of wire into the cylinder and crank the crank around until the wire stops being pushed out. Also the skunk 2 cam has a little white dot on it, i assume that that is TDC for the cam. I know these are simple questions i just dont want to ---- up my project . What to do? Thanks

the wire trick would definitely work. but be careful not to get anything in the cylinder. you will need to take your timing belt off cuase if your your pistons arent tdc then the cam is not going to be at tdc when you turn it.

you cannot physicall install the pistons in the wrong "timing". Think about it. They are attached to the crank which has offset throws already. there is no way to screw that up or change it. the only thing that you may have done is not aline the crank TDC w/ the CAM TDC. Grab your haines/chelms etc and check. better yet, you can D/L the manual from the post that's stickied at the top.
