Default Ok i need to know what timing belt 2 use with the A6 block.Y8 head combo

OK so im kinda lost at the timing belt deal. i asked Renr about the timing belt and he said with the Zc bottom ( SOHC ) and the Y8 head. he said to buy the Z6 belt..why i dont know. but i searched and found information that states i should use the blet that corresponds to the head. is this true? i hate to have to return the belt to the dealership again.
thanks for your info.

P.s I searched...

I need to know before i start with the assembly of the head and the block. do i use the A6 bolts or do i need the y8 head bolts? or can i use the a6 BOLTS WITH HOW MANY WASHERS? oops caps lock owns....

hey dipshit read the title ..it says SOHC ZC which is the same as the A6.

anyway i got the Y8 head and the SOHC ZC block ( same as the A6 ) now my other question is that i was told by RenR to use the Z6 timing belt but at the same time i found another thread where he says to use the timing belt that corresponds to the head. im confused....

usually, go with the head studs for the Head. And you'd probably be alright with the Z6 TB, but cant' say for sure

No, they aren't the same. If you are using the Y8 head you have to use the Y8 timing belt. Always use the timing belt that corresponds with the head.
