My engine is like that, 2 of the plugs had alittle bit of oil on the threads.. and my compression on those 2 cylinders was 190psi ea. I talked to my Honda mechanic and he said that is normal for age of my engine, especially with that good of compression. Oh and he said don't worry about it, even after I told him I am going to install a turbo...

it can be the valve cover seals. just get a replacement valve cover seat kit and it comes with all the seals needed. i had teh same problem and it fixed that.

Valve cover *Gromets* the seal is the perimeter of the valve cover. The valve cover gromets are the little circle ones going around the spark plug hole and stops oil from inside the valve cover go to the inside of the spark plug wire hole and down to your spark plug.

no i have not had a chance to check out the compression on the cyl. i put new grommets on the sprk plug wells a couple of weeks ago. the engine idles kind of rough and smoothes out then idle rough again. it's not bad just enogh to irritate. how can you check the valve stem seals?

check your plug wires for cracks on the stem that goes down into the cylinder area.
