i have a d15b7 and have a oil leak...me and some freinds just put a rear main in it and it is still leaking...also the trans it making a lot of nosie....

please help

Sounds more like a trans. leak there.

 

well it seems that i am the pro rear main ****** upper my guess is that you did not tap the rear main in all the way and then put the flywheel on then the flywheel rubbed on the rear main destroing its sealing properies requireing you to take the tranny out and rereplace the rear main. but dont worry its always easier the second time.

well it isnt the rear main because the oil level hasnt changed in the motor it is the input shaft seal on the tranny...and no taking the tranny isnt easyer the second time for me...the god damn ball joints are stuck...i have tryed a buller and a 2prong puller and they are moving at all...

has anyone ever put an new input shaft seal in b4?

You need to take the case apart and install both the bearing and seal from the inside.

 

As for the lower ball joint, crank down on the puller as much as possible then remove the wrench and smack the hex head of the puller with a hammer.

 

so that seal keeps the oil from coming through the release bearing. right...

 

Correct. Most of the time the bearing going bad will cause the seal to leak. Most people notice it when their clutch starts to slip from the oil.
