So I brought my car into a shop to get a Diagnostic Analysis... they showed me the straight black spark plug in the #3 cylinder compaired to the other three..... It turns out there is a guide seal leak...so they told me i need a valve job and it has to be taken to a machinest too... the total cost would be around 1200.00 to fix...I said no... is the guide seal located in the block of the head...cause if it is in the head...i could just buy another D16z6 head and build it a little before I put it back on...what should I do?

 

1200!? wow. if u can do the work yourself get it rebuilt (upgraded) and do the labour yourself.
