taking out the oil jet depends on what computer/ harness your using. if your using the odb1 computer you have to take it out but if you dont do the harness swap you dont have to. all you have to do is hook up a + 12v to the green white wire, but i would take out the jet to be more reliable

Why would that even mater? The vtec solinoid needs to have pressure, if the oriface is installed on the deck of the block, you will get unsufficent oil supply to the solinoid. People have done these swaps and not taken the jet out, and have had vtec problems. It simply makes sense, if the Z6/y8 block doesnt have it, why should we?

why is it so hard to figure this out.. a vtec block doesnt have a oil control jet,it has only 1 and its in the head.. so why would u wanna put 2 on another engine.. just slowin the oil down even more and when the vtec kicks in it does get proper oil thus causin the vtec to not work properly... might even ---- some cams up or somethin

I'm with jeff... I've seen Baby-Vtec's (Mini-me) where they didn't take the oil jet thing-thing in the block out, and they run fine, however, I would just to be on the safe side
