Default obd question (smart people inquire within)

I'm planning on an LS turbo with hondata, but hondata is only compatable with the 92-up not the 90 or 91. What parts would I need to make it compatable with a 90 or 91 integra? Thanks in advance.

(smart people inquire within)
Even though the title clearly states I am not allowed, I'm going to stick my nose in it.

I know for sure you will need an OBD1 ECU (duh :P), but I'm not sure what you would need to convert the rest of the motor to OBD1. It might just need an OBD1 distributor along with the ECU. Obviously if it were an issue of installing Hondata on an OBD2 car the answer would be easy, but I can't recall what has to be done for non-OBD cars.

Damn it, I should have listened to the title and just stayed out of this one.

What ECU is that? If it is a PR3 or a PW0 it will work with Hondata already.

I didn't think PR3 or PWO computers would work with hondata? I could be wrong but i'm pretty sure only OBD 1 computers will. There are a couple different thigns.. injectors are different distibutor basically certain sensors and what not.. ( i also should stay out cause i'm not that smart) But i know you can get conversion harnesses for a half decent price so you can run an OBD1 computer.. It's a piggy back harness so you can plug in the computer.. But you will still need to shange the engine side of the harness so it is OBD 1 aswell.. My 2 cents for now.

I didn't think they would work either, but on Hondata's site they say it is compatible. http://hondata.com/ecus.html

as for the wiring, you have 2 choices:
1-Get both wiring schematics for OBD-0 and OBD-1 and repin the entire obd-0 ecu harness with the new obd-1 plugs, OR
2-Get an OBD-0 ----> OBD-1 adapter harness.

You need an obd-1 dizzy. Your old harness will not plug in (round plug into square hole, hmmmm) so you will have to get an obd-1 harness-side dizzy plug (just cut one off at a wrecker and stuff it in your pocket), and swap/solder the wires. There are only 7 to do, and you'll need both wiring schematics.

You also have to add 3 wires for the new heated o2 sensor you'll have to run.

The Ls is the motor I want, I'm at the point of buying an integra just for the future motor plans. The older the cheaper, that's why I ask. I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for your help.

your ecu is a pr4 if im not mistaken....great fuel and timing maps for a d16a6...makes my lil SI run twice the fun. but yeah what the other ppl said...spend a lil dough and buy an odb-0 to odb-1 wiring harness and strap that hondata on and have fun.
