Does anyone know if an OBDI and an OBDII IAC is the same? Are they interchangable? My Uberdata make my cold start rediculously high and I want to swap out the IAC. Hotrex's cold idle seems reasonable so we figure my IAC is just ----. Can I use both styles on my Y8 intake? Thanks in advance.

If they have the same bolt pattern it will work.

 

I put a piece of hose to act as a restrictor and through it back together and it helped. I may try more of a restriction and see if it goes down more.

 

well i ounce bought a iacv from a 94 del sol vtec(big mistake gettin one from man honda, cost me 150 bucks, and wouldnt let me return it ) to see if it helped on my car. but did the same. then i bought one off ebay for like 10 bucks(but it was for my engine) and it worked great.

Its all fixed! I installed a piece of hose with a smaller inner diameter(about 1/8 inch) and the outer fit the hole perfectly! Now the cold idle does not exceed 1600 rpm!!! I have been so sick of the 3Krpm cold idle at start!!
