Default noob gonna pull the tranny!

well Ive done bits and pieces and helped friends on cars, I believe my input shaft bearing is going OUT, So I puleld the car up on ramps today and climbed under for a look, I believe I can have her out of there in no time, A few mounting bolts here and there looks like a shifter linkage (easy to remove) the exhaust seems to be clear,

so basically its just a few simple bolts and 2 axles?

Check out some of the how-to's here: http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto.php

The examples are B-series, but it's all pretty much the same.

I just replaced my ISB a few months ago. I'll see if I can't find more info.

honda is so easy to do, i wish my z was as easy to work on. just take the rear mount out, dizzy off, the the pass mount and let the engine sit on the damper, then the shifter linkage and all the bullshit. its simple, ive done so many clutch jobs on hondas its a 3 to 4 hour job depending on how you work, but your back will hurt after, that is guaranteed.

The hardest part for me was getting the tranny back on, but take off the axle so it gives u more room. Also taking the whole shifter off the car made it easy for me when taking out the pin from the tranny. It's a easy job but take your time since your new to changing trannies.

If your still working on this bro, u need to pop the shift linkage out, hammer and correct pin punch or bolt. To take the axles out just loosed the axle nut and either take the bottom ball joint but off and pop it of with a tie rod seperator. Then use a small flat head screwdriver or two and just pop/pry the axles out. Be careful for the axle seals though. Take off proper engine mounts and anything in your way. Then drop it underneath, dont forget about the tranny bolt on the backside of the motor and the starter bolt that goes all the way through the tranny. its a 14mm, the rest are 17mm.
Have fun, pm me if you have any questions.
