Default this new mobile1 extended life oil....

just courious if anyone has seen this ---- yet, and what your take is...

http://www.mobil1.com/USA-English/Mo...rformance.aspx
i personally think its the most retarded thing anyone has come out with. I use mobile 1 in every oil change i have ever done on my civic and gotta tell you i love mobile 1. but this 15,000 mile oil...come on.

plus, what filter is designed for 15000 miles of useage?

http://theoildrop.server101.com/ubb/...c;f=1;t=009296
there is lots of good info on that site about it. i dont think they agree with it and what its capable of.

www.bobistheoilguy.com has alot of oil/fuel related tests and all kinds of good info. (the link above is his forum)

the new honda filters are only rated for 7000km... not even half of 15000 miles.

i dunno if u know this but my d15b7 has a sticker on the air box which states oil changes should be done every 12000km or 8000 miles. Thats just regular 5w30 oil. So that oil can't be all lies.

brand new cars now state 5K miles between oil changes, or there is a sensor, according to the mobile one website.

do you mean you didnt change your oil for 30K miles? did you just keep putting it in? i would trust anything to mobile1, and have some pictures at home i will post about why it think that.
