Re: new cam

There ya go, you're overcammed. You probably lost more power in the low-mid range than you gained on the top end. If you gained anything at all.
There's more to building an engine that makes usable power than buying everything that says "stage2" on it.

Were stock specs the recommendation of the cam manufacturer?

I agree with klyph

I'm going to guess the engine isn't in time.

Post your cam card, homeslice.

I bet he tried the 9-3 position instead of 7 o clock Charlie bomber.

no its at 7
almost sounds like valves are to tight have them one up from stock spec?

Re: new cam

Uh, let's go back. Why do you have a huge cam on a stock motor? As has been said, you probably lost a lot more than you gained. Bigger cam without higher cylinder pressures means lost power.

Thanks for answering my question, and being serious about fixing your problem which is illustrated by the full details of your setup, what you've done to the car, and timeline of events you have posted.

Hey, here's another question for you to ignore: why can't you get the car to idle with your tuning gear on it?

Re: new cam

Do you guys mean he lined up the "up" mark on the cam pulley straight up, instead of using the mark near the 7 o'clock position on the upper cover?
