need help (vw gti wont start)
hello.
so i got a vw 88 gti. with a fresh rebuild head (llifters and valves).
i installed the head back with new gaskts and everything.
cam and cranck sprocked are are in position (so the timing belt and firing order lined up correctly.)
everything is on but the alternator belt(need new one)
when switch the ignition key on the starter turns the engine once and then it clicks (dose that everytime.)
anyone know what might be the problam? or what should i check?
thanks

Re: need help (vw gti wont start)
battery needs to be charged or is no good, or starter is bad.. try giving the starter a few taps with a hammer and see if that works. but make sure your battery is good first.
also make sure the terminals on your battery are not dirty or corroded
also make sure the terminals on your battery are not dirty or corroded
