I just installed a skunk2 im and tb on my 99ex with a d16y8. i forgot to check the stock position on my tps sensor before i took it off the stock tb. does anyone know what the stock settings for the y8 are? I have already tried .45 at throttle closed. any help is appreciated need to get car running right so i can stop bumming rides.

0.5 volts when the throttle is closed, and 4.5 volts at WOT.

Use a volt meter and tap into the TPS signal and ground wires. Gradually open the throttle and watch the TPS voltage reading. Adjust TPS if needed until the desired voltage is reached.

First, set it with the throttle closed. If the idle is surging like ----, just tap the TPS up or down slightly until it idles smoothly. I had the same issue before, but it takes a little time and patience to get right.

FYI...the last time I did mine, I did it without a volt meter and everything is OK.

If you are able to get it to idle smoothly at 3000 rpm, just turn down the idle. Remember to disconnect the IAC valve before you adjust the idle screw.

this maybe my ---- up. disconnect the iac valve from the manifold or just unplug it. because i have the idle screw almost all the way in but i did not know about diconnecting ithe iacv.
