Need help cause for fucked thrust washers
The motor was ticking and i couldnt figure what was the cause after checking everything...
So i pulled it all again and this time found that my thrust washer was all fucked up..... My question is WHAT could have caused the thrust washer to get like this? and also the hard to see pict... the red arrows point to the corners where it looks like they have been chipped off by something.

Wow man...that one looks pretty worn down. I would put the crank back in and check your clearance. Also, the "chip" marks...are they on the block itself, or on the main caps? Did you ever rebuild this motor at all? Or throw on an aftermarket pulley? I've seen people change their crank pulley and end up breakin ---- cause the crank is no longer balanced properly, even if they used a stock pulley from a different motor. That's gotta be alotta crank walk to do that kinda damage...how's the crank look?
hye question about the thrust washers...
the side that was ground up( closest to the flywheel) doesnt fit snugly like the other one does...
it fits snug left and right but not the other way..
you know how you roll the washers in.... well the snug on you roll it in and if you push it to far it comes out the other side. well the ground up one if you push it to far it just pushes up toward the pistons.
if you take 2 picks and push up on both sides of the good one nothgn moves.. but the messed up one the whole washer will move up about 1/8 to 1/4 inch.. is this normal?

when i took them out they were in like the helms manuel says. and another question.. i had a tick... this thrust washer looks rubbed or ground down... so where else woudl the tick be comign from? all the bearings are ok.
dude it really looks like you installed the bearings wrong. The side with the 2 little channels faces the crank side. So when installed they should be faced oppisite of each other.
