Default IS MY FUEL PUMP DEAD ???????

well....i just finished up my motor swap, i put in a D16A6 into a 91 crx HF...go to turn it over...and nothing...

before i swapped it out i could hear my fuel pump prime up when i just turn it to the on position...well i cant hear the fuel pump now...and i went to check the voltage and its there...so i have current but no fuel...i check the fuel filter under the hood and its dry.....so damnit...to my knowledge its dead...but why would it go dead from swapping out motors ? i think ive heard of this before but i have never seen it personally.

the most common mistake people make when they swap the motor is to check to see if the engine harness ground is connected, NO FUEL what so ever will feed if this is not connected you should see it in the back of the rear radiator feed, its usually bolted right there, if thats not it check the ecu fuse. hope this helps and doesnt make you have to spend extra money

Make sure the thermostat ground is good.. its a little 10mm ring off the main engine harness (near the starter) that needs to be bolted down, otherwise the fuel pump will not kick over.

but if the pump has 12v (directly at the pump) and a good ground and has no fuel coming out.. I think its pretty obvious the pump is dead
