My Engine wont start!!!!!!
 

I recently put a turbo on my d16z6 and it has been nothing but trouble from the start. Everything is done and i drove it once but now when i try to start it. It wants to start but doesn't. When it did start it was throwing code 8 which i'm pretty sure is top dead center sensor which i was told is in the distributor. I dont know what to look at next please help

Really you have a code 8, so did you fix that? You should give a lot more info, what year, model ect.

its in a 95 ex coupe and this is my first time on here doing this but im so lost with this car thing i havent fixed it yet cause i was told its in the distributor and i cant find one around where i live

i have to order one from a parts store and they want a really high dollar amount for a new one and i dont have that kinda money and no one has a used one ive looked everywhere.

i dont kno if thats the problem tho thats why i came on here because it was acting up after it got tuned. and before the code 8 it threw a code 41 which is o2 sensor heater or some ---- like that and then it went away and code 8 came up so i dont kno where to start

o haha the same thing happened to me check your spark pluggs they might be ceized like mine were i had to change them 2 times in one day

jesus ------- christ!!!!!!!!!!!! did you turbo it or pay someone to?? because you are a ------- idiot!! first set the motor at TDC and see if the timing is right!!!! if its off thats your ------- problem...... if its dead on the money buy a new ------- dizzy!

do you have a friend with an obd1 civic? borrow a good one. takes 5 minutes. use a marker on his dizzy/head to line it up after.
who cares about the bolt pattern for now.
let's see if you get that code 8.

i thru a code 8 and my timing belt was a tooth off on the camgear, so you might want to check that also.
good luck and don't just go out buying stuff trying to fix it. figure out what is wrong then buy/fix that part.

i did everythin that i could and still nothin i change the distributor with a brand new one lined it up at tdc the rotor too and still a code 8 and a miss its not the distributor cause it is brand ------- new!!!!!
