MT won't go into gear, need suggestions
Out of nowhere my clutch pedal now feels like hard mush. Theres no stroke/engagement point to it. I can get the tranny into gear when the car is off w/and w/out using the clutch. When the car is on, it won't go into any gear. The moments right before this happened I noticed my clutch pedal was vibrating/shaking if that means anything…
1. Bled the system and measured the stroke of the release fork, roughly 1/2".
2. Adjusted three year old clutch master cylinder/clutch pedal, no difference. No fluid on the floor in the car.
3. Replaced slave cylinder, no difference.
4. Replaced clutch master cylinder, no difference, release fork stroke is still roughly 1/2" (and holds this position if the clutch is pushed in for a period of time). Bled the crap out of the clutch system and tried different adjustments on the master cylinder and clutch pedal and I'm still where I started.
d16z6 engine/tranny w/160K miles, Honda MTF fluid in there since last summer, and the fluid level is good. The transmission does grind the top of 2nd/3rd if driven hard. Clutch specialties sprung 6 puck clutch w/maybe 15K miles on it.
I'm outta ideas, heed help.

Re: MT won't go into gear, need suggestions
spit a spring out of the clutch disc, typical of a B series tranny, but also showing up on D's lately.
I know you hate to hear it, but drop the tranny for a looksie.
BTW, rarely said here, nice post, gave me the info I needed without asking 1000 questions.

Thanks for the responses, I appreciate it. I'll start tear down tonight and report back when I make some progress.
Is this common w/a particular brand or driving conditions the clutch sees?
