in mine the whole distributor had to be taken out cause the screw was on super tight and in a fucked up position.

I just used a MSD cap and MSD coil on my crx.

I had a blown coil so it was cheaper to replace with a brand new MSD.

THe MSD cap comes pre fitted with a power tower plug, also, knowing what i know now, i woudl ahve gotten the MSD blaster coil that came with the extended tower on top, as its only 2 dollars more and saves you a trip to the hard ware store for a longer screw.

The car starts very easy now, almost 1 and a half chings on the starter and its comes to life. Gas miliage, eh maybe a little but im too busy mashing the a6 on the freeway to notice.

if you have a blown coil, i recomend it as a cost effective alternative. Otherwise on a stock or mild moddedd naturally aspirated motor, save the 70 bucks.

watch out for the screw ont he distributer rotor as well, i strippied mine. That will make you cuss a lot.
..the coil and cap intall is much easier to do starting with the distributer off the car
