Default Mount requirements for B in EG

So yeah it might happen this weekend, I abandon D series.

Anyways I need to know what all has to change as far as mounts go?

I think the uppers can stay, but the rear T and the two torque mounts down low in the front gotta go.

bah i just did this and i dont remember 100% you need the rear T mount and front ones like you said for sure, the tranny side mount is the same not sure on the L mount that bolts to the block on the drivers side.

sweet, if i get this in friday, im gonna have me a b16

only problem is 11.7:1 compression. (bored .025 over with CTR pistons)

I'll either drop a GS-R shortblock in, or get forged stuff in the b16 block and drop the compression a bunch

you can use your stock d15/16 upper tranny mount, but you need a GSR rear "T" bracket(keep your mount on your steering rack), upper driver side engine mount and bracket. If your rear mount or any of the other mounts pretty shot then you'll need the both tranny and engine torque mount off the gsr. Keep your mounts from the d15/d16. Thats everything. Don't forget a gsr/b16 shiftlinkage and gsr/usdm civic si axles and int shft. I'm swapping in a LS with a gsr tranny in about two weeks once I get all my parts and tranny.

from what im told, i can use 3 of my 5 mounts

tranny upper and lower i can re-use, T bracket needs to come from a 94+ integra

engine side lower needs to come from a 94+ integra as well, and upper engine should be re-useable

this swap currently sits in an EF with a cable tranny, but the guy has a GS-R hydro and is rounding up everything we're gonna need to trade off and get the b16 in my car. First thing I wanna do is toss a GS-R shortblock under it to drop the compression a bit.

The b16 currently sits at 11.7:1 according to him 11.9:1 according to the comp calc, but it doesn't factor in the overbore.

the sohc upper engine will go in but you need the bracket that bolts to the engine too and it might put your engine at an angle. I had a gsr upper engine mount when I got 4dr that had a b16 in it but came with a z6 and the engine sat kinda funny but it bolted up. I took it out and put a sohc mount in cause I didn't like it. Just get a cometic hg, arp head studs and just leave the b16 block together.

nah, a headgasket isnt gonna drop 2:1 on that setup. besides i dont wanna run a hg thats gonna be expensive as hell to replace, id rather go oem. And the gs-r shortblock will be nice for turbo, little extra displacement

well i had a JDM B16a in my EG6 hatch, from what i was using. It was all the mounts/brackets from a 99 Civic Si/Integra GSR mounts. not to mention Del Sol VTEC mounts/brackets works as well. Not sure about integra LS. But it should be compatible. Make sure the T bracket is from a 5 spd and not from a Auto. I had made that mistake and it didnt fit. And the company i got it from didnt allow refunds. So make sure before you get them.

Actually, I was cheap about getting the mounts. So i was using my stock D15 engine mounts/brackets with the B16a for a while . And it fit fine. But if you were to look at the axles from atop the engine bay. You would see the axles is not straight. It has a bit of a tilt to it. Making the tire wear faster on the outside. So just to be on the safe side. Just replace all mounts/brackets to the B series one.
