Default Mini Me swap question..Which head

Alright i'm looking for some info for a buddy of mine.

He has a 00 civic lx..d16y7..he's looking to do a mini me swap. I have found him 2 dif. heads. the Z6 head (which is the 92-95 head correct?) or the y8 head (obd-2 head correct?)

which one of these would be better to use on the y7 block? what would the compression be after each head, and which one would be easier to use with stock wiriing.. I'm assuming the y8 because its a obd-2 head..

ps. he's going to use a p2p for now for mangement

yes the y7 does have a oil jet to take out for mini me swap..the y7 block with the z6 head will put out 13.6:1 comp ratio! and with the y8 head its 13.2:1 comp ratio
and me personaly I would use the z6 head I am sending to you..I would choose z6 over y8 anyday...but thats just what I think..find out which head has best specs and such and use that one..

wow, yours way off on those compression ratios. y7/y8 mini-me doesnt change the compression, both heads have the same cc volume, y7/z6 mini me will lower the compression a tad because the cc volum of the z6 head is larger than the y7.

alright well since i am getting the z6 head, is it possible to get a thinner headgasket to raise compression back up to around the stock, or even higher..i thought doing a mini me swap raised compression. kind of disappointed that it doesn't..

also greddy07, from what i've heard the y8 head flows better, and since it keeps the same compression ratio, i think its a little bit better than the z6
