Get a VAFC and use it to controll the VTEC, the D16y7 need a ton of work to work with the ECU you have for it aht you "stole". If you do want to use that ECU then you will need a D16y8 or a D16z6 intake manifold complete and a huge manual toget it right.

The easiest way would be to get a d16y8 ecu and then just run the wires from the ecu to the vtec sol and the oil pressure switch. it should be pretty easy
dont you people read??!?! he "borrowed"(who knows what that means) the ecu already. now he wants to know if there is an easier way to wire vtec without runing wires to the ecu. that would be very hard due to the differences in wiring harness from the diff models. either way...you'll need to do wiring. but i hope you understand the diagrams. if not....the wiring of a vafc will be a little easier but you'll still need to shell out some doe for that. id say....sell that head...go to a junk and find a turbo...then do the famous hmt setup. but thats just me! good luck

ok guys
heres the deal....i bought a manual. there are 2 wires for the vtec oil pressure switch. 1 wire for the vtec solenoid. there is 1 wire for the knock sensor. do i need the knock sensor.will it throw a code if i don't use it? i also seen that there is a differance in the distributor on the non vtec head to the vtec head. is this right? i also bought all of the gaskets and t-belt for the 94ex instead of the 97. someone please help me.are the computers from an ex the same as a dx as far as sensors?

yes....2 wires for oil pressure...but 1 of those is just a ground. you will have to wire the knock...unless you get a chip to disreguard it. the cel wont come on if you dont wire it...but will in a little bit of driving.....and your car will not run too full potential....its almost like a safty mode. and yes there is a diff in the dist.....but not the dist. itself..but in the housing legs and way the dist. sits only. the parts should be right...but the ecus on the 2 are diff. sensor wise...they use the same ones...and you can add or subtract any you dont need. good luck
