i just installed a boost/vac gauge..then i got ecu problems...bouncy idle and so on..so i unistalled the gauge and hooked everything back up like normal...i'm getting 3 blinks on the ecu..i was wondering is it possible that the map sensor was damaged when it was unmounted or what?

 

you had a vac leak somewhere.

 

thanks that helps..i'm doing a multi point swap over this weekend so i'm not reall gonna waste time trying to fix the vac leak..but if the map sensor is bad is it best to buy a new one or just be cheap and pull one from and si when i get my multi point parts this weekend? thanks for your help

 

Just pull a junkyard one and pocket that ---- Doesn't hurt to have spares
