Default Manual to electric speed sensor conversion - HMT style

So i swapped a manual transmission (from a '92) into my ('94) corolla and when it came time to swap speed sensors i ran into a little problem. The manual speed sensor was completely different from the newer electronic one (which came on '94 and up models).

So i took out the chop saw and went to work. Here's how it turned out:

The manual sensor

Mated together

And the final product. Radiator hose is packed full of grease.

Waiting on a gauge cluster to see if it actually works. I tried a cluster from a 94 geo prizim but although the two clusters look identical and have identical plugs in the back, the wiring is completely different. Turning on the lights turns on the temp gauge and left turn signal.

Speedo works. Need to see if the reading is accurate though it does look close. Driving with out the speedometer for a couple of weeks has made me loose my sense of speed somewhat.
