man i dont think this is right update first post
so my car is fucked up. whats new.
my question is could the fact that my downpipe cracked before the o2 sensor be causing it to run pig rich and die at idle?
the vacuum flutters around 10in/hg like a ******* eyelashes and it smells like an old boats exhaust. but the car isnt throwing any codes.
it will idle at 1000 sometimes but the minute i go anywhere and let off the gas it drops to 500 and wants to die.
man i am in way over my head on this ----.
update,
checked for vacuum leaks. none.
reset ecu. nothing.
getting alot of blowby, i think that my valves are broken in, need a lash adjustment.
iacv blocked off, car wont run when cold. very bad idle till warmed up completely. then idles fine.

what was the last thing you changed, like any new mod, replaced part, anything? problems like that dont just happen. and no, i cant imagine a cracked downpipe causing much of any problem but noise

i havent really changed anything, just put a new turbo on. but that went fine.

ps just found that a line off of one of those things by the map is off. not the line coming in but the line going out. not sure what it is or where it goes but i will look into it tomorrow.
its the two solenoid things by the map on the firewall
the one on the passenger side, top line is off

so i put new plugs in because the others were fouled, i thought the car is running way to rich and is fouling plugs because its just a base map.
well i finally got my jaw up and running and and getting and afr range of like 12.5 to 16/17. which i think is too lean
maybe or am i *** backwards and thats too rich?
im not sure but i know that it is really off, could the crack in the downpipe be making it read wrong?
