I just got done building a b18 with ACL's. I didn't turn the crank or line hone, because everything mearsured fine. I ordered the ACL standards and the didn't have enough clearance. But the HX which is .025mm under size worked great!! The OEM kind of blueprinted the motors from the factory. They built a huge batch of rods, cranks and blocks. Well there was many differences due to the amount of work. So they came out with the color system, to make factory mechnics jobs easier and to fix there problems. The stock honda motors are pretty ------- good because of this process.

My experience of spinning a bearing is you often bend the crank slightly, another problem being journals going so oval the crank is unrepairable. My mate runs a foundry so we use his mitsutoto laser measurement thingumy to check tolerances on bearing surfaces. Its accurate to .01% of a ---- hair.

I just get my machine shop to supply the bearings when they polish the crank, they get trade prices on bearings anyway.
