Lx trans internals With Si trans case? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
O.K. here is my problem. I exploded something in my 1990 crx si trans the other day. So I went to the wrecking yard today and picked up a transmission out of a 89 LX 4 door. My Question is can I take everything out of the 89 LX transmission and bolt it into my 90 Si Transmission? The reason for this is because I just bought a 212mm 6 puck clutch that I already have in my car and only have 400 miles on it. Any info on this would be a great big help.

I have done a little searching and everywhere that I looked I saw that the LX had a 200mm flywheel due to the fact that it is a 89. I dont know if the 212mm from a 90 Si flywheel will fit inside that trans case. So im just getting some questions out there before I get in over my head. I havent tried anything yet. The only reason I picked up the 89 LX trans is because I only had to pay $65 from a local yard around here. Good deals!!!!
O.K. Let me just ask a simple question...... Will a L3 transmission from a 1989 d15b LX 4 door fit on my my 1990 d16a6 crx Si with a flywheel from 1990 (212mm)? If not can I swap the internals? That is all I want to know.

89-2000 all use the same 20 spline input shaft.
It will bolt right up and go.
You could swap the FD, but that would take a bit extra work, seems like you already got started.

OK so the trans is in and it works!!!!
The only problem is that it grinds going from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd th 4th, and when I down shift into 1st. But im moble now! Just no racing in the near future. FOR NOW. So I cracked the old trans case open, and I saw that I broke what looks to be a plastic bering race in the output where my axle seal goes. All th ball berings were sitting together in the bottom of the race.and none on top. So my next big queston is where can I buy a rebuild kit for my busted L3? I would like to get all new berings, and some sincs. If anyone knows where I can get them for a good deal hit me up. I did a quick search but seemed kinda expensive. LMK
