Ls/Vtec how to Gsr rods?

Default Ls/Vtec how to Gsr rods?

ok I know im gonna get flamed im sure, but iv looked for about 2 hours now with no luck....I wanna build a lsvtec, my friend had a b16 head just sittin around that he will sell me, now I just need to nkow what I need to do to fit it on the b18 block...like where to tap for the oil anything need to be milled basically how to do it, and another friend of mine has a set of gsr rods and type r pistons...could I use them in the ls? would I need to sleeve? and I was gonna use 450 dsm injectors and maybe a edelbrok intake....I am really lookin to get 200-220 whp nothin super great I wanna use this as a daily driver still...I was gonna do a very mild cam as well....and would I use the stock ls ecu? any help would be great I know this has been on here alot but I cant find anything!! plz guys help me out...oh by the way this is going into a 94 civic hatch....oh I also was reading somthing about using gsr oil pick up gsr oil pan a few other things? thanxguys again.....hope I dont get flamed to badly

you can't use gsr rods in an ls with the ls crank, you would have to use the gsr crank. as for the oil taping ---- go to www.c-speedracing.com and look it up. you need to use a 96+ oil pump (they are all the same) and you wont hit 200+ hp without alot of money. but you can put the type r pistons on the LS rods. for an ecu you would want to use a chipped p28 or a p72 (gsr ecu)and i would just use a set of type r cams or CTR cams.

thanx Josh...you know where I could get a gsr crank? and with teh gsr bottom end would that handel 200whp and what else woul d I need to do to get there.....anyone else have any otehr info for me? if so would greatly appriate it!

Are you going to turbo it. Cuz if you do then you will have way over 200 hp. If not then you might want to have the head ported and polished, flow tested and High compression pistons and the cam like you said. The more air in and the more air out the better with N/A. Port match all places where gaskets are. Throttle body, intake manifold, exhaust manifold. Everything should be nice and smooth. Then when it runs take it to the dyno and see what she throws down. It should give you around 200 horse if you do it right. Make sure you find the right cam. If you don't you could have less Hp than you could and you wasted alot of money.

might want to add ARP head studs and rod bolts to the combo.
