LS Valve Spring Question
Ok so im trying to find a cheap set of Valve springs for a LS head. My question is can u swap out springs with say a B16 or GSR? Port flows web site shows LS need a diffrent spring base witch is $60 is that the only diff? Any Info on a cheap set would help :6

Re: LS Valve Spring Question
I have a set of dual spring b16 springs and an old set of LS springs...I'll measure the height and see what I come up with. I do believe you can use the b16 or gsr springs, just as long as you have a cam that doesn't go over 0.400 lift. Check out this thread for a little more info, even though I know how much you guys *hate* H-T...http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/1803606

Re: LS Valve Spring Question
this is the same thing I was gonna ask

Re: LS Valve Spring Question
just throw in some vtec b series inner springs inside your existing outter springs and call it a day.

Re: LS Valve Spring Question
I believe you can use b16 springs on the intake but not the exh. cause on ls heads the int. and exh. springs are different lengths. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, Rocket Motorsports has stronger single valvesprings for like $170 or something. |
Re: LS Valve Spring Question
the thought never even crossed my mind, but now im curious too

Re: LS Valve Spring Question
Well I'm pretty positive about b16 springs working on the intake side.
