ls v tec with ls or b16 trans
im getting ready to put the motor i the car and have two trany a ls and a b16 im going to turbo after the break in miles witch would be better .

b16 so you keep up with the big boys on the highway. ls is good but not my choice of weapon for a tranny.

if its gonna see a lot of highway daily driver stuff the b16 trans may not be for you unless you dont mind either slowign down or being at like 4500 for a few hours

if you are going to be running boost i would use the ls tranny for the following reasons. longer gears more traction , better launch controll, lower 60', more top speed and better highway traveling. if its just gonna be some piddly 220hore setup i would opt for the close ratio. you may hook up one time too hard and blow it aout but who cares you acn get another one , everyone wants a b16 tranny.

i dont think theres much of a difference when you dump the clutch, plain and simple i talk from experience, the closer the gears the fast youll go, ls tranny is junk unless you have 500hp or ---- it out leed style.
