i was wondering if anyone has ever done or seen someone put ls rods into a single. i know its been done before. but does anyone know how its done?

They fit but with machine work done to them. Its not a bolt on.Did you try a search?

yeah did the search. nothing show's up. well on here atleast searched honda tech. id really like to see pictures.

I hope someone has some good info on this because im planing on doing this also with my Z6 in the next month. ive been told to get the rods and bearings resized, and also the wrist pin is too small on a d-series so they have to Machine a little bushing in the rods.

I think you have to notch the block as well... keep searching... its been covered many times before.

ok, i'm in the process of doing this right now... this is what i've gathered....

1) the ls rods need the ls bearings when rebuilt.

2) the end where the bearing goes has to be ground down to .900" (ls rods are .935") any machinist w/ access to a precision grinder can do this. just make sure he takes an equeal ammt off each side. take in one of your old rods so he can compare. (yes, i'm a toolmaker, and am going to do my own)

3) you need bushings to accept the the smaller wrist pin.(bushing will be .826" OD and .748 ID) Crower can help you on that... they want's $10 each or $40 for the set. if your're going to do it yourself, the material is "silicon- bronze". i was going to do this myself also, but the stock costs me $88. + shipping fo a minimum 3ft length, where as, i only need 12". so i will be ordering from Crower.here's their # 1-619-661-6477 fax: 619-661-6466

4) no you do not need to notch your block... these are not Eagle rods.

i will be taking pics of this build in hopes to make it sticky when finished.

I guess if you can get the LS rods and install them for really cheap it would be worth it, but eagle rods are only $300.
