Anyway, You can buy LS rods off HT for $100-150, you can get Vitara pistons from Tom (FJT) on HT for $130 shipped
Be prepared to have a loud *** engine, This setup sounds like a mild case of valve ticking, I got worried that something is wrong but Tom told me that all these setups do that. Pretty neat setop, I hope you know someone in a machine shop to make the bronze bushings.

Arias can machine the groove into your existing piston for use with circlips/spiralocs. $11/piston. Keep in mind, some pistons might not have enough "meat" after you cut the groove and shorten the wrist pin to suit - use your head.

Re: LS Rod Swap.... How To
Onlinemetals.com has 1" 655 silicon bronze for $36/foot. How much was Crower slinging you for $60?
edit:
"Try MSC Direct or Travers Tool or J & L Industrial Supply. Not to mention
that I would be more inclined to use aluminium bronze (Ampco) than silicon
bronze."
"Yeh. If you're running LOTS of boost, use M-50 or 51 tool steel for the
bushings (hardened to about RC-60) and nitralloy with about a .025 thick
RC-70 (nitrided) case on it for the pins---
I PROMISE the rods would do an el-foldo before you ever hammered out the
bushings !! :-)
And, NO, that pairing is no more likely to gall than hard chrome on
Al-Bronze, it's an excellent bearing pair, commonly used in, um, 'extreme'
environments, such as pressure worms on injection molding machines---"

I'm wondering if I wasn't given the wrong rods - oil hole on the PM6 bearings that weren't used didn't line up precisely. Might be some confusion on my end, just thought I'd update.
