This might sound stupid but make sure you are using a B-Series Shifter and not a D-Series one.

No i made sure of that. I"ll see if there's a difference once I put the pin instead of the bolt...

it is the lame ass bolt he is using.

Honda put a roll pin in there for a reason.

------- HELL YEAH! The LOOSE play is gone, but man, IT WAS A BITCH to put that Bitch Pin into that linkage. Thanks guys for all your advice and suggestions.

I've got a lot of play in my shifter too...what is the actual name of the pin and where can you get them?

The dealership didn't have a name for it. I just told them that it was the pin that holds the shift link to the tranny...
