i just put a new y8 head on my y8 block and i was adjusting the valves i used feeler gauges and it all should be close to perfect as can be... the timing is right on the crank and head were both at tdc and now im not getting any compression except for 30 in the number 2 cyl?? what the hell is wrong

Re: low compression

I just had a similar issue my solution was to build oil pressure.

Is the head torqued properly? how was the head? was it used?

explain the scenerio better, why was it apart?

Sometimes it takes a lot of cranking to build some compression, take the plugs out and squirt down about a cap full of oil in each cylinder. try to start, then do a comp test..
