Default Light Weight crank pulley and flywheel question.

I'm looking into light weight crank and flywheels and i wanna know if it would be wise to go with them. I've read that some people have had problems with these thing before. They may cause damage to the tranny and to the engine. Is this true or will i be ok with these things. I know they sell cheaper pullies and flywheels on ebay for less.

your stock flyhweel and pulley weigh as much as they do and incoperate design features (rubber dampner in crank pulley) to reduce torsional vibrations that affect the crank.

I gotcha, could i get away with doing these mods? I don't want to destroy anything, just create less inertia and make faster revs.

This is like the he said she said thing. I've ran both together and never had a problem. Just get them and be happy. Throttle response is so much better with both but if you had to choose. Go with a flywheel first cause it's like a night and day difference with it.

I saw is a flywheel on ebay called XTD and i was thinking about that. Is a flywheel a flywheel when it comes to a lightened one or is one truly better than the rest?

I got that complete setup. The XTD flywheel and exedy clutch and it works like a charm for me but thats only on my NA d15bvtec but I love it.
