my friends b18c5 does the same thing. doesnt effect performance but it makes him nervous. he used a oem type r head gasket and everything was torqued properly. his b16a did it too. it just must be a problem they have.

hmm, glad to see other people are having the same problem, that is the same spot mine is in (RH side/Passenger)

I'm thinking some Copper spray next time this head is off.

cover the bitch in copper spray.

jeff just clean it up and use some high heat RTV and paste the ---- all over the leaky area. like a massive glob

Hack Job... Not on the ls/vtec I will wait until I pull the head off and try some J&W copper seal on the next head gasket.

I have to pull the head sooner or later, 2 of the valves are not sealing up (the ******* I lapped in) haha.

well if your pulling the head anyway then go ahead with the copper sealer. you could just get some arp's and tourqe them a bit more.

i have done some b16a engines. always have leaks in the corner also. i always put high temp gasket maker to seal it. after that no problem. the head gasket is metal right?!

Are you using new head bolts? I dont know about the honda motors but a lot of the newer engines use "stress to yield" head bolts that are only good for one use.

Nope, these honda head bolts are not "Torque-to-Yield" style bolts.. older hondas had those.
