Default Leaky B-series Head Gasket (corner)

I dont know if any of you have ran into this, but I have seen it in alot of cases. My GF's integra with 80k miles was also slightly sepping. Beaus JDM B16a's he always got was leaking a little bit.

And now my Ls/Vtec has a nice ------- leak off the front corner (RH side) of the head gasket (all in the same spot). I used an OEM head gasket with properly torqued head bolts as well. Not to mention the head was resurfaced. I am thinking this may just be a problem on some B-series engines. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

I have seen it on some of the B16a3's but the leak I found was coming from the VTEC solenoid. Once I replaced that it was fine and didn’t leak anymore.. But I see that on all the B16a3's I work on. I think the VTEC seal just gives after 60k miles and the gasket is only $8 at Honda

I wonder if Honda didn’t make the gasket seal completely at that corner. It’s an interesting problem and it sucks Have you tried to put gasket sealant at that corner?

Sealant? on a head gasket.. no man.. always dry unless I am using a copper one. I suppose I could try next time the head is off. I have heard of people spraying them with various products.
