larger injectors on N/A d16z6
Right now i'm running a slightly beefed up d16z6 in an 89 hatchback on a p28 with an obd1 swap. I swapped out the pistons for the d16a1 slugs, but still run the stock rods, did a port match and polish, and added a larger cam (specs unknown, bought it used). My problem is that right now i still run the obd0 stock a6 injectors combo'd with the resistor box and a B&M regulator, and it still runs lean even with the regulator cranked as far as it can go. What i'm wondering is, i have a spare set of dsm 440's laying around...is it possible to pop these guys in and turn down the regulator so it doesn't flood out the motor like it normally would, and run the setup this way to get a little extra fuel? I don't really wanna crack the case on the p28 and chip it at this time, cause i'm not sure how long i'm going to hang on to the car, but I don't want to destroy the motor cause of pinging either. Any thoughts?

Fuel pressure is running a hair under 60 lbs. right now, and my timing is advanced about 6 degrees. The p28 also runs open loop(never quite got around to changing the o2 sensor, so it throws a code for the o2 heater) but i figured that would probably help it run a little richer, but no luck. It still pulls hard as a SOB, but when i pulled out the plugs and checked them too they were a little too white for my liking. There's a brand new fuel filter on it too, and i've checked to see if anythings clogged, but so far everything checks out. I would do a chip, but like i said, i just don't really have the time right now, and i'm not sure how long i want to keep this thing.

Maybe some Prelude injectors?

well take some timing out with that compression adding timing usually actually loses power. Switch to a colder plug and get your pressure up to 65 and you should be fine or like Boost said go with some ludes

I've looked for some lude injectors...hard to find any of those in my area over 1992. That was my first thought. As for the fuel pressure, unfortunately the B&M is a piece of crap and only goes up to 60 pounds or so, so i'm kinda maxed out there. I just figured i'd try the DSM's cause i had them laying around. I tried them once before on my CRX with no ecu or pressure changes just for ***** and giggles just to see how badly it ran. I could almost swear i saw the gas gauge drop every time i tried to kit the gas and it stalled out

Ya those are just way overkill. Dont know what to tell you but take timing out and colder plugs should help with detonation and should amke more power from my experincem oh and the pump isnt allow more fuel walbro 255 would be able to get you to turn the fuel up more.

No, i don't check them right after normal driving. Usually what i'll do is take a few hard rips down the backroad by my house and then check and see how they look. Normally they should have a slight brownish tint to them, sorta like a white and brown mix. These plugs look like someone painted them white, no color tint to them at all. That's what has me worried. Yeah, new fuel pump is also on it's way too. Maybe i'll try the DSM's tomorrow night after work just to see what happens. Thanx for the input guys.
