Re:Knocking/creaking noise
if you dicked with the suspension AT ALL, goto your local auto parts store, grab some graphite, rubbing alcohol, and a spray bottle. mix the graphite in the spray bottle with the alcohol and spray any bushings you can aim at. do it whenever it squeaks(1-2 months for me). next time lube your bushings. you can also try synthetic lube(not wd40)
for the knocking noise, if it's a click-click-click repetitive noise it's your cv joints.
if it's a kind of thud/clunk noise and only happens once(as opposed to click-click-click) then it's either a loose balljoint(if you dicked with it, tighten the bolt again) a worn balljoint(replace) or possibly the bushings on your steering column are worn/gone.
it's not a wheel bearing.
