Default K&N oil filters

has anyone had any exp with these filters? I want to know if they prevent oil bleed back. I'm having cold start knocking and i've heard from a couple of different people that oil filters play a big part in this. Any help would be great.

I use them b/c I can use a 1" socket to take them off.
Plus there is holes through the raise part of the casing of the filter to use safety wire just in case the filter comes off which is handy for road racing v-8.
When I was working in the parts biz the Mobil 1 filter used the same part number but with a omited zero in K&N p/n.
We cut open a Mobil 1 filter and compared it to a K&N filter and they looked the same but the Mobil 1 filter was about 2 dollars cheaper.
I read some where of some tests where Mobil 1 filter was tested the best but K&N was not in the test.
All 4 types of Fram, Puralator, 2 types Napa, and some other brands that I can not remeber was in the test.
Hope this answers some questions.
If anybody can find this test could ya post the link?
