just brought a Civic

Guys I just brought a 92 Civic DX, in perfect condition, 4/doors, now my question is what engine could I drop in there that's a direct bolt on??????

any 92-95 B-series will do you good, very little mods (many wiring assuming its not an auto). but an H22/23 is kinda a bolt in and would be cooler ;D

No offense, but I dont think bobby is ready for a H-series swap, but agreed... It would be pretty badass to have a nice H22 in their..

B-series are cake in 5g civics, use the stock integra mounts/axle setup, with some minor wiring and your good to go. Lots of people have done setups in these.

---- i think that an H22 is a little advanced for most people, me included if it was a daily driver...

Re:just brought a Civic

back to my question I wonna change the head, what head could replace the old one,and @ the car it's for my wife to get to work from work, and etc... nothing to do with racing, and I would do the H22 swap, but down here it's hard to find one thanks for the thought...

lol finding the h22a motor is not the hard part, its making the fucker fit bobby :)

You can do any B-series head on any B-series block. VTEC heads on non-vtec blocks require tapping for oil to activate the VTEC on the blocks end.

I don't know where Bobby is, but a H22A is very hard to find in Europe.
Really rare...there aren't many preludes with the H22A driving around here.
Europe is all about small displacement engines...the bigger and badder the egnine the less you'll find them except for a few exceptions e.g. the 1st and 2nd gen crx's have almost all DOHC ZC's or the 2nd gen has a B16 in them

Re:just brought a Civic

Well where I live I'm surrounded by shops, and warehouse's I have this place called ProLynk, he only deals with ZC's, all B series , and he told me that the H22's are hard to sell, because most people want the B's. But whats jumpin' off down here in Florida is CRV's buttom ends, with a B series head their going for 6,000.

Re:just brought a Civic

6000?....are you kidding me?...you can buy a crv motor for like 900 easily and then a head for like 300, plus a little labor and other little stuff
