JDM ZC L3 Tranny Clutch
Got the JDM ZC DOHC and the JDM ZC L3 tranny and I don't know what clutch to use. Would it be the same as 86-89 integra?

Re: JDM ZC L3 Tranny Clutch
88 or 89 or 90-91 Civic/CRX clutch

Re: JDM ZC L3 Tranny Clutch
My goodness, are you serious? I wouldn't have guessed that. I thought the splines were different or something. BTW, thanks for your help on my tranny questions earlier. Do you know if I can use the Si 5th in the ZC tranny? It would work with the ZC final drive to bring me 3500 rpm @ 80mph (trips between east coast and Nashville for school).

Re: JDM ZC L3 Tranny Clutch
I also found this:
"For cable tranny with 21 spline then it is consider and interchangable with 86-89 Acura Integra, with 20 spline then you need clutch for 92-UP Honda Civic. If it is hydraulic trany with 20 spline then you need clutch for 90-91 Honda Civic and with 21 spline then you need clutch kit for 88 Honda Civic." -quoted from eClutchmasters of course it is a cable tranny, but I do not know the spline number... bah >:( |
Re: JDM ZC L3 Tranny Clutch
well only the 88 has the old ball in the sohc d trans so I'm goin to assume the same applies for the dohc zc so you just get the 89-91 spline disc

Re: JDM ZC L3 Tranny Clutch
This engine is an 88 because it has an '8' on the engine block near the dip-stick tube near the exhaust header. It might be best for me to just count the splines when I get back home and then order the clutch I need.

Re: JDM ZC L3 Tranny Clutch

Re: JDM ZC L3 Tranny Clutch
yea just count the splines, and like chris said, make sure you count them a couple times.
